Perseverance of a Sports Toto player 60-year-old Toto player finally paid off after 8 years of trying his luck. A set of Toto 6D numbers he has been consistently played on won him 4 million in last Saturday's Toto 6D draw.

Accompanied by his two sons, the winner, a retired businessman from the Klang Valley collected his winnings at Sports Toto Malaysia head office on 9th of July.

A Sports Toto press statement announced the winning story today.

The winner told staff of Sports Toto the wining number was chosen from the birth dates of his four grandchildren to from the number 619827. He started to bet RM50 on the number in Toto 6D game since 1995 without fail.

However, last Saturday he could only manage to purchase RM40 worth of 6D ticket.

He said, he would throw a party to celebrate the winning with members of his family and would initially deposit the money into the bank before deciding what to do with the new found fortune.

A spokesman of Sports Toto said this was the second largest amount won by a single winner in Toto 6D game so far this year. In April, another retiree won RM4.9 million in the 6D game and it was the highest prize money won by a winner since the game was introduced in 1988.
