Never give up and you will be handsomely rewarded for your perseverance- that is certainly the case for a bachelor who won the RM3.8 million first prize jackpot of Super Toto 6/49 in last Sunday's (January 7,2007) Toto draw.

The lucky winner, a sales personnel from Klang Valley had been placing on a same set of numbers, 2, 4, 18, 38, 41 and 46 for the past six years diligently. These numbers were chosen from the ages of his family members and his house number.

The forties something winner said, he normally placed a ringgit bet on the set of numbers and did not give up even though the numbers did not win any prizes in the earlier Toto draws held.

Accompanied by a relative, the over-night millionaire came to Sports Toto Headquarters at Berjaya Times Square earlier in the week to claim his winnings.

The elated bachelor told Toto staff that when he checked on Sunday's Toto draw results (7/1/07) published in a newspaper on Monday morning, he was stunned and could not believe that all the numbers he betted were drawn as the 1st prize winning numbers for Super Toto 6/49 jackpot. The jackpot amount for Super Toto 6/49 had snowballed to RM3, 831, 484.36 when Sports Toto closed sales at 7p.m. on that day.

When asked how did he plan to deal with his newfound fortune, the jovial winner said, even though he is now richer by RM3.8 million, he would continue to work.

"I will first invest part of the prizemoney in property and save the remaining in the bank for the time being,"he said.

Meanwhile, a spokesman of Sports Toto Malaysia confirmed that only one winning ticket of Super Toto 6/49 bearing the numbers of 2, 4, 18, 38, 41 and 46 was sold for last Sunday's draw (January 7, 2007 draw no 2782/07).
